Who we are — and who we aren't. Idaho Dealer School is a private education provider. We are independent: we are not a government agency, we do not speak for the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD), and we are not a law firm, accounting firm, or licensing service.
Education, never professional advice. Everything on this site and in our class — the lessons, the FAQ, the guides, the "How to Become a Dealer" roadmap, cost and timeline notes, tips, and every answer we give by email — is general educational information. It is not legal, financial, tax, or professional advice, and it doesn't create any professional-client relationship. For advice about your specific situation, consult a licensed attorney or accountant.
Verify before you rely. Requirements, fees, forms, and timelines change, and cities differ. We work to keep our materials current, but the official rules live with ITD, the Idaho State Tax Commission, and your city — always confirm with them before acting. Where our materials and an official source disagree, the official source wins.
No guarantee of licensure. Completing the class meets one item on Idaho's dealer application checklist, and that is all it does. Licensing decisions — including inspections and background reviews — belong entirely to the state. We cannot and do not promise you a license, a timeline, or a business outcome.
All sales are final. The full class opens the moment you pay, and your certificate is issued the instant you pass the exam, so purchases can't be refunded. Billing mistake, such as a duplicate or wrong charge? Email info@idahodealerschool.com and we will fix it promptly.
Access. Each seat includes 12 months of access from purchase. A seat is for one named person; Idaho requires each owner or responsible party to take the class and pass the exam themselves.
Certificates. Your certificate is issued the moment you pass the exam. Reissue is free, any time, from your account, and anyone can confirm a certificate on our public verify page.
Honest work. Your certificate is issued in your name for the eight hours of instruction and the exam you completed yourself. Letting someone else complete lessons or the exam for you is not allowed, and we report completions accurately when ITD asks.
Limitation of liability. Our site and class are provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions you make, applications that are denied or delayed, business losses, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of our materials — and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us.
Our content. The class materials, recordings, text, and design are ours. Your seat is for your own education — don't copy, share, resell, or republish the materials.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, and any dispute belongs in the courts of Salt Lake County, Utah. Nothing here takes away rights you have under Idaho consumer protection law.
Changes. If these terms change, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date. Your continued use of the site or class means you accept the current terms.
